Lifestyle Centre is proud to announce the success of two community initiatives over the December 2025 holiday period. The Christmas Fair Fund pop-up store and Lifestyle Centre’s complimentary gift-wrapping service both contributed to raising significant funds for meaningful local causes.
A vacant retail space at Lifestyle Centre was made available free of charge to the Christmas Fair Fund, an established Ballito-based charitable organisation operating since 1952, allowing them to create a vibrant, collaborative pop-up retail experience during the December/January festive period. Under the capable leadership of coordinator Michelle Blake, the store brought together 10 local brands, each contributing their creativity and products in a collective effort to raise funds for a meaningful cause.
The pop-up drew strong support from both Ballito locals and holiday visitors, who embraced the opportunity to shop for a purpose. Thanks to the enthusiastic response from the community and the dedication of Michelle and her team, the pop-up generated a profit of R129, 548.00, all of which will be directed towards uplifting facilities in local disadvantaged schools during 2026.

Lifestyle Centre Management expressed appreciation for the initiative and the community response. “Lifestyle Centre has always been about more than retail – it’s about local people, community and connection,” said MD, Cameron Rencken. “We were delighted to provide a space for the Christmas Fair Fund to bring this special initiative to life. Michelle and her team did a phenomenal job, the support from locals and visitors was inspiring and we are proud that the funds raised will make a meaningful difference in children’s lives this year.”
Coordinator Michelle Blake added, “The Christmas Fair Fund is so grateful for the opportunity to partner with Lifestyle Centre to showcase talented local brands and raise funds for a cause that will have a lasting impact. Our aim is to utilise the funds The Christmas Fair Fund pop-up showcased beautiful fashion, homeware, jewellery, stationery and festive decorations from local small businesses.during the course of 2026 to improve facilities at Sizani Combined Primary School, which educates over 900 children from the area. This initiative truly demonstrated the power of community and collaboration.”
Additionally, in the week leading up to Christmas, Lifestyle Centre delighted shoppers by offering a complimentary gift-wrapping service to add an extra touch of festive cheer. Three wrapping stations, six gift wrappers and wrapping supplies were funded by Lifestyle Centre and, while the service was offered free-of-charge, customers were invited to make a voluntary contribution in support of the children of Summerhill House by scanning a QR code that linked directly to the NPO’s account. “Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our customers, a remarkable R14,027.93 was raised for this worthy cause,” announced Rencken.

In response, Summerhill House shared their heartfelt appreciation, with Erica Lynn stating that the funds “will go a long way in helping us provide the care, education and opportunities that make such a difference in the lives of our children. Moments like these that remind us of the power of community and the meaningful difference we can make together.”
Lifestyle Centre remains committed to uplifting the North Coast community by supporting initiatives and local talent that reflect the values of care, creativity, collaboration and local entrepreneurship. The success of the Christmas Fair Fund pop-up and the Lifestyle Centre gift wrapping initiative stand as a testament to what can be achieved when local partners come together with purpose.
