The Market at Lifestyle Centre

The Market at Ballito Lifestyle Centre will soon bring a whole new food and shopping experience to the Dolphin Coast. Traders such as an organic produce merchant, an artisanal baker and an old-style butcher, together with a carefully selected array of complementary food offerings, will afford Ballito shoppers the opportunity of purchasing locally grown and created food items for onsite eating, as well as to take home, any day of the week.

The permanent food market is taking shape in the area opposite Mica and the Radio Life & Style radio station, running all the way down towards Zaras. Taking up 1600 m2 of retail space, the focus will be on quality artisanal food and everyday freshness. Bruce Rencken, co-owner of Lifestyle Centre, confirmed that the following traders will be part of The Market: HomeGrown Organic Produce, Yoli’s Bakery, Robson’s Brewery, Science of Coffee Roasters, Taylor’s Meats, Scoop Ice Cream, The Juice Kitchen, Bavarian Butchery and Deli, We Are Food, Cumin & Coriander, Olive-A-Twist, as well as two exciting new local brands offering pizza and chicken, and fish and sushi. “We are fortunate that the North Coast has some amazing local business men and women, who share a similar vision for authenticity, originality and good food,” said Rencken. “The personality of The Market will be built by them.”

Construction is taking place swiftly within the space, with the opening date just around the corner, being 25 October 2017! From artist’s impressions, The Market promises to be a delight for the senses.

“We want Lifestyle Centre to be the local, authentic and convenient shopping experience, focused on food, family and well-being,” said Rencken. “With Lifestyle SUPERSPAR, Woolworths Foodmarket, TOPS Liquor and The Market, we will offer our shoppers a convenient and comprehensive grocery offering. The Market will also cater to customers who would like to choose from a number of unique and interesting food offerings to eat on-site in the communal seating area. It will be the place to connect with the traders, meet up with family and friends, and enjoy good, wholesome food in a superb environment.”
