As we reach the halfway mark of 2023, Lifestyle Centre welcomes some exciting new tenants to add to the fantastic stores and eateries already on offer at the open-air, al-fresco shopping centre in Ballito.

Off the back of the openings of Yuppiechef and Freedom of Movement late in 2022, and the relocation of Cape Union Mart earlier this year, Big Blue has now opened in the old Post Office site, adding an eclectic flavour and another exciting offering in the lineup of stores between SUPERSPAR and Woolworths.

Love Home, a small store with a big heart, opened its doors inside The Studios on 1 June. This beautifully appointed store offers bespoke home décor from locally crafted furniture and lighting to hand-painted ceramics and unique textiles, sourced from around Africa and Europe.

Set to open on 12 and 15 June 2023 respectively, are La Sandwicheria in The Market and Wedgewood Emporium alongside The Pottery.

La Sandwicheria Continental Café and Delicatessen is the latest concept from Nicky and Derryn Cooper, owners of Yolis Bakery. Adding to the options in The Market, you can now select from a range of gourmet sandwiches or create your own from their selection of Yoli’s artisanal breads and rolls, cheeses, meats, salads, preserves, pestos, pickles and more! They also offer sharing boards and platters for a delectable Mediterranean style feast! Additionally, you can purchase any of their delicious ingredients from their delicatessen which offers imported and local cheeses, charcuterie and other deli specialities.

The Wedgewood Gifting & Hamper Emporium is sure to be a destination experience for the whole family. The newest of four Wedgewood Emporiums in South Africa, each one is uniquely created to showcase Wedgewood’s handcrafted gifts and confectionery, made locally on the Wedgwood Farm in the KZN Midlands. At the Wedgewood Gifting & Hamper Emporium you will get to sample Wedgewood’s latest innovations, experience their world-first nougat ice-cream or have their top-notch team wrap your selected gifts for you.

Breazies will be joining the Lifestyle Centre family soon, with their launch planned for the end of June and set to brighten Ballito’s beachwear during the school holidays and Ballito Pro.

Customers can also look forward to visiting the bright new Specsavers which underwent a revamp recently and now offers audiology services in addition to optometry.

These new developments show a continued commitment from Lifestyle Centre to consistently innovate, reinvent and improve their offerings to add real value to the lives of locals and visitors to Ballito. Additionally, the Centre is fully operational during loadshedding, with all eateries and most stores having backup power to ensure no interruption of service during power outages. Plans are in place for a solar installation later this year to further supplement power supply in a sustainable manner.
