On Saturday, 19 November, finalists in the Lifestyle TOPS ‘WIN a Harley’ competition were present outside the store at Lifestyle Centre for the live draw of the iconic Harley Davidson Softail 107.
According to manager, Leon Naidoo, “Over the past 12 weeks, customers who purchased products from TOPS at SPAR Lifestyle to the value of R500 or more were eligible to write their details on the back of a till slip and pop it into the entry box in store. Each week we drew our weekly finalist live in studio at Radio Life & Style 88.0FM and this past weekend we invited all 12 winners to come through for the final draw. Those who were out-of-towners, who visited the store while on holiday here in Ballito, were given the opportunity to send a representative on their behalf. Unfortunately, one of our finalists was unable to make it, leaving us with 11 finalists the morning of the live draw, which meant they all had very good odds of soon being able to cruise around Ballito in style!”
There was much excitement as each of the finalists, in the order of the week in which their entry was drawn, drew a number from 1 to 11 and received a small box bearing that number. Inside each box was a key, but only one of the finalists had the correct key which would unlock the steering of the Harley Davidson Softail 107.
Limpopo resident, Henry Horak, sent a friend, Nadia Dorn, as his representative, who had luck on her side when she randomly drew number 9 out of the ice bucket presented to her. Little did she know that box number 9 held the winning key to the Harley Davidson Softail 107 worth R240 000!
The remaining 10 finalists didn’t walk away empty handed, each taking home a gift box containing a bottle of Jack Daniels Gentleman Jack, whiskey glasses, chocolates and a handcrafted keyring.
